Functional Behavior Assessment

We will begin the process of helping your child with a pre-authorization from you insurance for a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA).  A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will observe your child in the home (and possibly school) environment for behaviors and triggers, attention, avoidance and other behavioral factors.

Once the behaviors are identified the BCBA will then create an ITP and present it to you and your insurance plan for approval.  Your child's team will be created which will include a BCBA or BCaBA and usually one or more Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).
